Santa Barbara Elks July 4th Family Fun Celebration

The 4^th of July is almost here and the Santa Barbara Elks Lodge #613 will be celebrating this patriot event with their annual 4^th of July Family Fun Day from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.   We invite our neighbors, families, friends, and fellow Elks to join us at 150 N. Kellogg Avenue in Santa Barbara.  Entrance is free and over 5,000 residents are expected to attend.  

Enjoy a great BBQ, music, raffles, plus a variety of games and activities for both children and adults of all ages.  We offer the Children’s Gazebo where kids can spend all afternoon creating crafts, enjoying face painting and nail painting, and much more for just $5.00.  Children are welcome to come and go throughout the day and each child will also pick out their special Beany Baby to take home.  Parents may join them for free.  The adults will also have a chance to Bingo as well as bid and win on an assortment of items from our silent and live auction, along with a 50/50 raffle with a pot of $3000.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 The Elks BBQ is served down in our Oak Grove picnic area with a menu that includes hamburgers, hot dogs, barbecued chicken, baked beans, salad bread, root beer floats, delicious desserts, all sold for a nominal fee.

Take this opportunity to view our chartered Boy Scout troops 4 & 37 in action, working towards their community merit badges while volunteering throughout the day.  The scouts assist in the children’s games area, serve food in the Grove picnic area and help maintain the Elks Lodge grounds.

Local Grammar School students will be able to participate in a contest held just for their school’s Parent Teacher’s Association (PTA).  The school’s PTA with the most students attending this year’s 4^th of July Fun Day will be awarded $500 to supplement their costs throughout the school year.                

Money raised at this year’s event will be used throughout the year to support our local veterans, disabled children, and many other community charities that the Elks sponsor.
