Santa Barbara County Foodbank and Apeel Sciences to Host Public Webinar on Food Insecurity and Fresh Produce Access

The Foodbank of Santa Barbara County and Apeel Sciences will host a live, public webinar exploring the scope of food insecurity in Santa Barbara County and solutions addressing it.

The webinar will feature Jenny Du, Co-Founder and SVP of Apeel Sciences, and Erik Talkin, CEO of the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County. Together, they’ll examine the growing diversity of people and needs served by the Foodbank, current challenges related to declining donations, and how innovative post-harvest technologies like Apeel’s can help extend produce shelf life and increase access to healthy food.
