“UNFOLD”
September 13 – October 26
Opening reception:
Sept. 13, 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.
410 Palm Ave., B3
Carpinteria, CA
Featuring the art of
Sijia Chen, Chiho Harazaki and Kaoru Mansour
The opening exhibition brings together these three exceptional artists, living in Los Angeles, whose art practices explore themes of identity, belonging, and human connection.
This new gallery is the brainchild of Irene Chan and Bonnie Rubenstein at the Palm Lofts, a live/work space which has housed many creatives over the 25 years since it was built. Chan is a photographer and has a background in fashion. Rubenstein ran Silo118 in the SB Funk Zone for several years.
Photographer Patrica Houghton Clarke’s studio, also in the Palm Lofts at A18, will be open from 3-6 p.m. in conjunction with ours. We are hopeful that in time other artists in the Palm Lofts will join in so we can create our own “First Thursday”!
Please let me know if you have any questions – our website is public but a work in progress as we fill in all the details.
