Rescue Roundup 2025 to Benefit Santa Barbara County Search and Rescue

The Santa Barbara County Search and Rescue Foundation is proud to announce Rescue Roundup 2025, a benefit event supporting the all-volunteer Santa Barbara County Search and Rescue (SBCSAR) Team. The event will take place on Friday, October 10, from 6 PM to 10 PM at the Santa Barbara Carriage Museum.

Rescue Roundup offers an evening of award-winning barbecue, live music, dancing, rescue demonstrations, and opportunities to connect with the men and women who volunteer their time to keep our community safe.

Highlights include:
• Barbecue prepared by the Battle of the Badges 2025 Champions, SBCSAR
• Live DJ and line dancing lessons with the SB Line Dancers
• K9 search team demonstrations, utility vehicle displays, and technical rope rescue exhibits
• Silent auction and raffle prizes

The evening will also feature remarks from Sheriff Bill Brown, UCSB professor MJ who recently credited his Search and Rescue training in a successful lifesaving effort, and the CEO of Direct Relief.

Proceeds from Rescue Roundup directly support critical SBCSAR programs and equipment, including:
• K9 Program expansion
• Drone and bike team equipment
• Advanced medical supplies
• Academy training for new members
• Vehicle maintenance and readiness upgrades

SBCSAR responds to emergencies across the county 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing expert assistance in rescues ranging from missing hikers to technical mountain incidents and vehicle accidents. The team is composed entirely of highly trained volunteers who dedicate thousands of hours annually to training and operations.

Santa Barbara County Search and Rescue is an all-volunteer team of First Responders that provides Basic Life Support services for medical emergencies. The team provides emergency response services throughout the county and beyond, conducting missions that include search operations, technical rope rescues, medical responses, and disaster support.
