Public Invited to Design Workshop For New Orcutt Library

Public Will Learn About the Project’s Goals and is Encouraged to Provide Input

The County of Santa Barbara is pleased to announce a public workshop to gather community input and direction for the design of the new Orcutt Library. All residents, local organizations, and stakeholders are invited to attend and share their ideas.

“Orcutt is a strong, connected community with a deep history,” said Supervisor Bob Nelson. “This workshop provides residents a voice in shaping a library that reflects those values and serves as a welcoming place for learning and connection for generations to come.”

The workshop will take place:

Time: 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Location: Oasis Center, 420 Soares Ave, Orcutt, CA 93455

As planning begins for this important community resource, public involvement is vital. The workshop will provide an opportunity for attendees to:

• Learn about the project’s goals and design process
• Share ideas for building features, technology, services, and community priorities
• Interact with the project’s architectural and planning team
• Ask questions and offer feedback directly to County staff and the design team

The new library is envisioned as a flexible, modern, and inclusive hub for lifelong learning, creativity, and community connection. Whether you are an avid reader, a parent, a student, or someone who simply wants to help shape the future of your neighborhood, your voice matters.
