Verdi’s historical drama Il trovatore (“The troubadour”) is a story of superstition, revenge, and Ill-fated love set in medieval Spain.  Containing some of Verdi’s most passionate melodies including the famous “Anvil Chorus”, Il trovatore is the quintessential Italian romantic opera.
