Dance on down to Chaucer’s to see our own local Mrs. Dancing Paintbrush! Karen Putnam will be here to sign her newest children’s book, SHARE with Mrs. Dancing Paintbrush, and encourage children to participate through creative dance, music, drama, art and story-telling.
Karen Putnam has extensive experience teaching art, music and dance to children and elderly over the past 40 years. She is the founder of “Art from the Heart with Karen,” an inter-generational program to encourage diverse expression through the arts. Ages 4 months to 104 years are invited to dance, dream, paint & play.
Karen, also known as Mrs. Dancing Paintbrush, is currently illustrating and writing stoies to emphasis the importance of community, sharing, faith and the beauty of a kind heart. She has published 3 books.
Her latest book, available in both Spanish and English editions, is about how the world changed after 3 dancing paintbrushes met in a music class and learned the importance of sharing.
