Journey of a Spiritual Nomad – Ojai Library; Wednesday, June 3, 2026; 6pm

June 3 @ 6:00 pm PDT

Author Eden Orlando will visit the Ojai Library at 6pm on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, to give a talk on her book The Ojai Poems: Journey of a Spiritual Nomad.

Eight months at a meditative retreat center—and her inevitable attempt at re-entering society—became the inspiration for The Ojai Poems: Journey of a Spiritual Nomad, a nine-part, hand-made chapbook series by artist Eden Orlando. Eden began chronicling her spiritual awakening after college in poetry, documenting her observations about the land, people, and initiation experiences—ultimately leading to brave choices around independence, survival, and adventure. Eden will do a reading followed by Q&A and have books for sale.

Eden Orlando is a poet, artist, and bookmaker from Venice Beach, California. She is the author of three illustrated poetry memoirs, Seed Pearls (2020), My Perfect Offering (2021), and The Ojai Poems (2025), all available on blurb.com. You can listen to her debut album, “Like a Thousand Pearls” under the group name Heavenly Flowers on bandcamp.com. She now lives in southern Oregon.

This event is free and open to the public. For additional information, contact Ron Solórzano, Regional Librarian, at (805) 218-9146 or ron.solorzano@venturacounty.gov.

The Ojai Library is located at 111 East Ojai Avenue in Ojai, CA. Hours of service are 10am to 8pm Monday through Thursday and 12pm to 5pm Friday through Sunday.
