Halloween Spooktacular

Hearts Therapeutic Equestrian Center invites the community to its third annual Halloween Spooktacular on Wednesday, October 25 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Hearts’ riding facility, located at 4420 Calle Real in Santa Barbara.
The event will feature trick-or-treating at the horse paddocks, a horse costume contest and parade, a giant broomstick bake sale, ghoulish games, face-painting, and other fun festivities. All ages are welcome to attend and are encouraged to dress in Halloween costumes.
“Halloween at Hearts is my favorite event of the year – seeing our horses in spectacular costumes, bobbing for apples and welcoming the community is just one of the wonderful things we do at Hearts”, said Devon Sachey, program director of Hearts Therapeutic Equestrian Center. “Where else do you get to trick or treat with horses?!”
Since 1985, Hearts Therapeutic Equestrian Center has improved the lives of individuals with physical, emotional, intellectual, and cognitive challenges, illnesses, or injuries, in Santa Barbara County through equine facilitated activities and therapies.
Admission to the Halloween Spooktacular is $5 per person. Proceeds will benefit Hearts’ mission to inspire, strengthen, and motivate people of all ages and capabilities through equine assisted activities.
Hearts’ facility at 4420 Calle Real is located across from the County Sherriff’s Department and further up the hill. Directions are available here.
