Groovin in the Grove

The Santa Barbara Elks Lodge #613 is preparing for their annual Veteran’s fund-raiser, called Groovin in the Grove, held on July 27, from 9:00 am–4:00 pm, at 150 N. Kellogg Avenue in Santa Barbara. The event is Free and open to the Public.
Each year we strive to create a venue people of all ages will enjoy. This year, we have an amazing line-up. Classic Cars, Vintage Travel Trailers, Antique and Special Interest Motorcycles will all be on display, along with military transport vehicles and a brand new 37-foot Land/Speed Streamliner!
Arley Langlo, a third generation Santa Barbara native and seasoned Land/Speed Car and Drag Racer, has just completed building his Land Speed Streamliner that will be unveiled at this year’s show. Langlo is the designer, builder and driver of the Streamliner and as of today his top speed at Bonneville is 289 mph. Langlo’s Streamliner has the potential of running well over 400 mph and will debut during Speed Week on the Bonneville Salt Flats, in Utah, August, 2019.
Local motorcycle enthusiast Dan Zandona will exhibit his 1936 Harley Davidson, featured in the film, “The Wild One”, starring Marlon Brando.
One of Santa Barbara’s favorite bands, Ernie and the Emperors, will entertain the audience with live Rock and Roll music from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Join us for lunch and enjoy the music. We will be servicing BBQ Tri-Tip, hot dogs, no-host bar and other refreshments for a nominal fee.
Enter your vehicle for a chance to win one of the many categories open this year. Instead of trophies, our car show winners will be presented with cash prizes, totaling $2,450.00. Best of show will take
