Forgiveness in a Time of Polarization

September 11, 2017 @ 7:00 am PDT

On September 11, 2017 at 7 pm there will be one of the monthly meetings of  Compassion and Solidarity meetings which will feature a group of speakers on the topic of Forgiveness in a Time of Polarization. The meeting will be moderated by Dr. Radhule Weininger Ph.D, M.D. the founder of this meeting, and her husband, Dr. Michael Kearney, M.D.

Dr, Weininger, who was born in post war Germany and is a practicing Buddhist and Clinical Psychologist, feels that many of us are struggling to find an attitude of peace, wisdom and compassion for our experiences in this turbulent period in our world. That is why she brings together people of different faith traditions each month in order to help us get beyond divisions.

The panelists for the September 11 meeting are: Rev. Scott Claasens from St. Michael’s in Isla Vista; Professor Terrence Keel from the Black Studies Department at UCSB;  Pravrajika Vrajaprana from the Vedanta Temple in Montecito; Denise Williams who is a scholar on the process of Conflict Resolution.

There is no charge for the evening’s talk but a donation is requested.
