Education series for parents/caregivers of youth, ages 5-12.
Skills-building group to strengthen parent-child relationships and improve communication. Learn strategies to recognize your parenting strengths, how to manage stress, and how to handle parenting during conflict.

FEB 7, 21, 28  – Virtual via Zoom
**We ask that parents attend all sessions in a series.**

TOPIC: DE-ESCALATION STRATEGIES FOR CHALLENGING SITUATIONS

WHAT TO EXPECT: Learn ways to prevent conflict from happening with your child and/or co-parent as well as identifying what your personal hooks/triggers/buttons are and how to create strategies for removing anger and fear from these situations. We will talk about disrespect and defiance and how to neutralize arguments as well as learning how to validate your child’s feelings and begin to relate to them in a way that feels supportive for them.
