Facing Ourselves: Carpinteria

Facing Ourselves is now an international award-winning photography project created by local human rights activist Patricia Houghton Clarke with communities represented in southern Italy, London, and this year – she brings it all home to Carpinteria. A group of teens whom she mentored through a portrait photography exhibition will have pieces in the show .The exhibition is intended to spark a conversation about immigrants and the residents who welcome them into a community like ours.
