Empowering Against Exploitation: Scam Awareness, Prevention and Victim Support

Each day, active, informed seniors are victimized by predators who steal their money and property. In this month’s seminar, you will learn how crooks dupe unsuspecting victims and how to protect yourselves and your loved ones. The presentation featuring Santa Barbara’s District Attorney’s Office will include descriptions of prosecuted cases and information on how to report suspected fraudulent activity. Each participant will receive a CASE booklet (Communities Against Senior Exploitation), which gives warning signs for various scams and strategies to protect against fraud.
