The County Community Services Department is hosting a workshop about its Inclusionary Housing Program for first-time homebuyers. The workshop presentation will include an overview of the process involved with the purchase of a below-market rate home in the County’s portfolio, and introduce the newest condominium development at the Tree Farm, 5401 Tree Farm Lane, Santa Barbara 93111.
Sixteen, two-bedroom condo units are available to qualified applicants earning up to 200 percent of the Area Median Income of $77,100. Each 896-square-foot unit is priced at $417,400 with monthly HOA dues of $481. The builder, CalAtlantic Homes, will provide an overview of the Tree Farm development and information on mortgage financing options.
Housing & Community Development has a goal of connecting the local workforce with affordable homeownership opportunities. Affording local housing may encourage retention of talented employees who prefer to live close to their place of employment versus commuting 35 miles or more each way.
The meeting will be held from 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the County Administration Board Hearing Room (105 E. Anapamu St., Fourth Floor, Santa Barbara 93101).
NOTE: Attendees must RSVP by October 9 as space is limited. To RSVP, contact Margo Wagner at (805) 568-3529 or mwagner@sbccsd.org, or Andrew Kish at (805) 568-3534 or akish@sbccsd.org.
