Cottage to Host FREE Virtual Meet the Doctor Event

Protecting Your Heart Through Cancer Treatment 

Thursday, February 19, 2026 | 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. 

The Cottage Cardiology Clinic Santa Barbara is hosting a free  virtual “Meet the Doctor” event on Thursday, February 19, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. The program will  feature Dr. Elizabeth Hutchins, a board-certified cardiology and cardio-oncology specialist affiliated with  Cottage Health. 

Dr. Hutchins, the region’s only cardiologist specializing in cardio-oncology, will share how she partners  with oncologists to deliver comprehensive and personalized care. 

Participants will learn: 

• Why heart health matters before, during and after cancer treatment 
• How coordinated care between oncology and cardiology supports better outcomes • Practical tips to help protect heart health throughout treatment 

The event will also feature a Q&A session, providing participants the opportunity to have their questions  answered directly by Dr. Hutchins in a confidential setting.
