Community Invited to Santa Barbara Unified Hiring Fair

Santa Barbara Unified invites community members to help fulfill the Power of Public Education by learning about careers at an upcoming job fair.

The event is happening Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 1-4 p.m. at the District Office on 720 Santa Barbara Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101.

The career fair focuses on two of SB Unified’s greatest positions of need- Paraeducators (Teacher’s Aide) and Bilingual Curriculum Specialists.

Paraeducators (pay scale: $18.75-$24.50 Per Hour) play key roles in the District, providing support for students both inside and outside the classroom.

Bilingual Curriculum Specialists (pay scale:$29.69-$32.34 Per Hour) provide specific support services to students individually or in small groups in reading and phonics.

“These roles are crucial to the success of our students. They help open endless possibilities for our students’ futures by providing academic support. We invite anyone looking for a job to come out and speak with our staff,” said Dr. John Becchio, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources.
