Coast Workforce Homebuyer Program to host a loan program for local workers

September 27, 2017 @ 4:00 am PDT

Join Us In Celebrating The Launch of An Innovative Homebuyer Loan Program for the Local Workforce

Wednesday, September 27, 2017
4:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m.
Yardi Parking Lot
After much anticipation, the Housing Trust Fund is proud to announce the opening of its first workforce assistance program targeted to Goleta and Santa Barbara workforce families and employees. Come hear from the founders, lenders, and sponsors of this exciting new housing program, as we celebrate this milestone and open the application process.

Local employers and employees have both indicated that homeownership is an important economic and social need.  Employees want to own a home and ‘put down roots’ in the community, and employers want to attract and retain the high quality employees that are vital for a thriving economy and vibrant community.

The South Coast Workforce Homebuyer Program expands homeownership opportunities needed to attract and retain the next generation of quality employees who provide essential community services in private industry, government, education, healthcare, public safety and nonprofits.

The program provides low-cost down payment loans up to $100,000 to help qualified first-time workforce homebuyers purchase an entry-level home in the community where they work.

When people can afford to live where they work, we all benefit from a strong local economy, strong local schools, high quality community services and supportive intergenerational families that foster and support the next generation of the workforce.
