Please join us in a timely discussion about Santa Barbara City creeks and watersheds! The moderated panel is part of Santa Barbara City’s 18th Annual Creek Week, the innovative celebration of our creeks, watersheds and ocean. (9/16-24, visit: http://sbcreekweek.com)
Private and public sector panel participants include Scott Cooper, UCSB career specialist in watershed and creek ecology; Tom Fayram, director of Santa Barbara County’s Flood Control program; Art Ludwig, an innovative ecological systems and groundwater recharge consultant, owner of Oasis Design; and Jill Murray, chief science officer at the City of Santa Barbara’s Creeks and Watersheds Program.
Panelists will talk about what still needs to be done to help restore and improve our creeks and watersheds, about recharge and groundwater management, and about bringing clean water to our beaches.
This event will take place Wednesday, September 20, 6:30 pm — 8:00pm, at the Louise Lowry Davis Center, 1232 De La Vina St, Santa Barbara. For more information, call Urban Creeks at (805)729-0172 or CPA at (805) 966-3979.
