CEC Climate Talks: Dr. Flávia Maia

Dr. Flávia Maia, Obama Scholar, and Dalai Lama Fellow, believes that, in the midst of our legitimate concerns of a climate collapse, we also need spaces of joy and possibility.

Her current project, a book on the future of climate leadership, draws inspiration from her direct experience as a medicine woman (mulher medicina), her work on climate justice in Brazil, and the stories of female leaders on the frontlines of the climate crisis. Join Dr. Maia again at CEC’s Environmental Hub to offer a healing space through meditation practices and readings of excerpts from “Emotions and Emission: The Values Guiding the Next Generation of Climate Leaders.” Presented in English with Spanish interpretation.
