Imagine living offshore. Take an elevator down to an atmospheric pressure habitat located within the structure of what is now an offshore oil platform. It is transformed into a launchpad for sub sea exploration, education and observation. Autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV) and manned submersibles dock and deploy.

You are a member of a team of scientists, educators, data analysts, offshore industry professionals, fisheries experts and the military, collaborating on projects.
 
 
The decommissioning of Platforms Gail, Grace and Platform Holly, in particular, offer an unprecedented opportunity for conversion. Platform Holly belongs to the State of California. We are bearing a good percentage of the $350 million estimated cost for her removal. 
 
Running between shore and Platform Holly is a 16,000 volt electrical cable. How might you use it?
 
Platform Holly is home to a multi-generational (more than 50 years old) marine eco-system, a Marine Megatropolis more productive than any coral reef remaining in our Oceans worldwide.What solution might you offer to make it economically feasible to save?
