Bear Cave Comedy Fundraiser for Foodbank

Bear Cave Productions is the brainchild of Samantha Bearman, an 805 local who has pivoted her comedy events to fully virtual entertainment. She is the producer of the Bear Cave Comedy Show – Santa Barbara’s only comedy production. They are doing something special this December to give back more than laughs but bellies full of food. We are not new to fundraiser shows and bringing joy to our community. This year, especially, we recognize that the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County has been working tirelessly to ensure that the Santa Barbara County residents have access to food and supplies despite the need growing at an astronomical rate. We wanted to show them some support by dedicating proceeds from our upcoming Virtual Bear Cave Comedy Show on December 12th at 5:30pm to their organization.

It is the time of the year when we all reflect on what we are grateful for, what we have, and how our community can support one another. As you may know $1 in the hands of the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County can provide 8 meals! We have previously chosen the Foodbank as one of our recipients of our fundraiser show and were able to provide them with enough funds to provide over 2000 meals! We would like to exceed that goal and provide the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County with enough funds to provide 10,000 meals! We know that is a lofty goal, but we go big at the Bear Cave! 

We want this show to be accessible to as many people as possible and tickets have a suggested donation price of $10 (which since it is virtual covers the cost of the entire home!) We are working to partner with local businesses and want to continue to provide the opportunity for businesses to support our goal of reaching 10,000 meals by following the following link – bearcavecomedy.simpletix.com, we have suggested donation tiers but we do acknowledge and appreciate however our community comes together. Santa Barbara takes care of one another, and while we have been called to care for one another more this year than most, we continue to not shy away from the call, well the phone is ringing again!

Not to mention the all star lineup for the evening is top notch with our headliner Ahmed Al-Kadri releasing his Netflix special late December, TikTok comedian star Ta’Vi, Kaycee Conlee who has been seen on the Tonight Show and The Ellen DeGeneres Show and won Florida’s Funniest Female in 2019, 805 Local Comedian Legend Evan Lopez, and special guest!
