Annual Mary Jane McCord Planned Parenthood Book Sale

Planned Parenthood California Central Coast (PPCCC) is excited to announce the 45th annual Mary Jane McCord Book Sale, named in memory of one of its longest-serving and most dedicated volunteers. The sale of carefully curated books is the largest in the Tri-Counties, offering 100,000 used books, spanning 50 categories from current best sellers to antiquarian treasures. The admission free sale will be held at the Earl Warren Showgrounds in Warren Hall, located at Las Positas Road and Highway 101.

Debbie Armstrong, Book Sale Co-Chair said, “Our sale is known for its quality, selection, great prices, and organization. We have books for every reader, collector, and dealer, with more books restocked daily”. She continued, “We offer an outstanding variety, including cookbooks, science fiction and fantasy, mysteries, recent and best sellers, coffee table/gift books, and an enormous children’s book section. We also have CDs, vinyl albums, DVDs, travel guides (and juicy fiction to read when you get to your travel destination!).”

On Thursday, September 19th from 5pm – 9pm, the event will kick off with a special opening night preview sale and reception. For a $25 admission fee, attendees will enjoy first choice on tens of thousands of titles along with wine and appetizers.

The ten-day sale will run from September 20-29. Admission and parking are free.

Co-Chair Debbie Armstrong noted, “This event will send a strong signal that the community stands with Planned Parenthood. Thanks to our generous donors and enthusiastic volunteers, we anticipate this special event will be our most successful ever.”
