22nd Annual Reaching for Stars Fundraiser

APRIL 28, YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES YMCA’S DINNER BENEFIT, REACHING FOR STARS, RETURNS AFTER TWO YEAR HIATUS

Featuring guest speaker, author, media commentator, and retired law professor, Lis Wiehl

[Santa Barbara, CA – March 23, 2022]— On Thursday, April 28, Channel Islands YMCA Youth and Family Service (YFS) dinner event, Reaching for Stars, will return to an in-person dining event for the first time since 2020.

Reaching for Stars is the principal fundraiser for YFS. Local top chefs team up to create this 5-course dinner to benefit local at-risk and homeless youth. The gourmet dinner and plating will be provided by some of Santa Barbara most renowned chefs including, Wine Cask’s Josh Brown, Montecito Club‘s Alex Bollinger, San Ysidro Ranch’s Matt Johnson, Caruso’s Paul Osborn, Willow’s Muhsin Sugich, Oliver’s Mani Jaun, La Paloma’s Jeremy Tummel and many more. During the dinner, keynote speaker Lis Wiehl will share her story and experience with YFS and supporting the Santa Barbara community.

Tickets are on sale now. The dinner will take place at the Santa Barbara Woman’s Club, Rockwood. Tickets start at $250 and include a 5-course gourmet dinner with wine, and a souvenir wine glass. A limited number of table sponsorships from $1,000 – $10,000 are available to support YFS programs. Visit ciymca.org/reaching-for-stars to purchase tickets or for more information.

All money raised will fund St. George Youth Center, My Home at Artisan Court, Noah’s Anchorage, and Support and Outreach Services. These programs offer crisis intervention, housing, shelter, youth and family counseling, assistance with employment, basic needs, and other services to the at-risk and homeless youth in Santa Barbara County.
