17th Annual Santa Barbara Hillel Hall of Fame Celebration

Santa Barbara Hillel is proud to honor six outstanding individuals for their exceptional devotion
to the community on April 19th at the 17th Annual Hall of Fame Celebration. Aaron & Ina Ettenberg, Bruce
Corwin and Louise Wyner will be inducted into the Hillel Hall of Fame, and Benjie & Alexi Baker will
receive the Alumni Achievement Award.

Aaron Ettenberg is the Immediate Past President of the Board of Trustees of Santa Barbara Hillel, and
has been a devoted leader and key partner to staff and students. Aaron is retiring this year from UCSB
where he has taught Neuroscience and Behavior for close to 40 years. His wife Ina is a past Hillel Board
member and revered educator. Bruce Corwin, founder of the Metropolitan Theater company and
previous UCSB Foundation trustee, partners with Hillel leadership in pursuing his passion of inspiring the
next generation. Louise Wyner serves on the Hillel Board Executive Committee as Board Secretary, and
excels at connecting community members with Hillel. Board Member Benjie Baker and his wife Alexi
met at Hillel, and have remained committed to supporting our students. Each of our honorees are
committed to Jewish learning, leadership and community.

This festive event will begin with a garden-party style brunch, followed by a program focused on
Hillel’s mission and its students. Rabbi Evan Goodman, Executive Director of Santa Barbara Hillel, will
speak about Hillel, honorees will share their own stories, and students will offer touching testimonials of
how Santa Barbara Hillel has impacted their life. Please save the date of Sunday, April 19, 2020,
10:30am-1:00pm.
