The Santa Maria Airport announced Friday that three new destinations will begin nonstop service in June.

United Airlines announced it will now offer daily service between Santa Maria, Los Angeles, Denver, and San Franciso.

"United's California network continues to grow and today we are thrilled to kick off 2020 with Santa Maria as our 20th airport served in California," said Janet Lamkin, United's President of California. "We continue our focus on offering convenient ways to connect Californians to the world and the world to California."

Tickets are now available to purchase for daily nonstop service that begins on June 4.

Three New Destinations Added to Santa Maria Airport

This is a really nice small airport. The TSA agents are very helpful and kind. Parking is free and the lot is lit up all night with security. This airport is the best thing in SM.

As the previous poster mentioned, PARKING IS FREE @ SMX... If you live in the SYV, it's definately a better deal than paying for expensive parking @ SBA, especially if you are going somewhere for a week or so.

Seems like it is time for SBA to offer free parking . Given the cost of parking I always have someone drop me off and pick me up or airbus to LAX where the flight cost can be much cheaper.

The City of SB would NEVER throw a bone to the citizens of Santa Barbara and the rest of the South Coast... It's all about the money- Just ask those poor ba$tards that tried to open a restaurant on the Airport property.

Santa Maria's runway is 8,000 feet long, compared to S.B.A's 6,000 feet and has a brand new, VERY thick concrete pad near the terminal that can hold the largest of planes.

During summer, it's often used to handle DC-10 fire aircraft which it does with ease.
