Does anyone know when the night road work on Hollister near Pacific Oaks is due for completion? It's seriously messing with my sleep. The first night there was dust and diesel fumes coming in the windows. Now it's just the jackhammer and other heavy machinery.

We're sorry about the inconvenience of night work, but it's necessary in this location because of the volume of cars that travel through each day. The night work will end next week, but the nosiest is over (although you may still feel vibrations from the compaction equipment when the work resumes Sunday night). The overall project should be done in early December. Ed could have easily sent you a link to their own article which doesn’t necessary answer all your questions, but the link provided in the article should. https://www.edhat.com/news/hollister-class-i-bike-path-update-4

Ed don't do that! It's up to community members such as yourself to find links and post them for the OP to find... which you did!! Well done.

I understand your frustration, however this is a great improvement for the safety of the kids and other pedestrians that may have to walk that to get to and from school. It will a long lost memory before you know it. I agree with first comment also, great tips!

This is just Phase 1 of that project, and two more phases to come. I lived near a construction project and decided to live with it rather than fight it if you know what I mean. For dust, I would just close the windows. For noise, era plugs. For sleep, Ambien or booze...but not both.
