More Apartments for Hollister Village?

Developer wants a General Plan change, lot line adjustment, zoning changes, setback modifications, even a revision of the original development plan approved by the previously notoriously pro developer council. Unbelievable. A minimum of 30 cars will be squeezed into the area, along with the residents' use of water, sewer and schools. If this goes through it will be a signal the Goleta is up for sale to the developers even with a "new" City Council.

This is the triangle piece of property right in front of Kyle's Kitchen, Choppa Poke, and Pieology. It was already approved once, and has been going back and forth for revised plans.

It was originally approved as commercial. The developer tried to turn it into 33 residential units and were denied. Now they are trying for 27 units and a park. If denied, the developer can go back to the original plan of commerical. I think 27 residential units will create less traffic than commercial tenants.

If "approved" previously by the notoriously pro development City Council why the General Plan and zoning changes?
