Elderly Man Attacked in the Funk Zone

An elderly man using a cane was attacked in front of Shalhoob's Funk Zone Patio. A large group of people witnessed the attacked.
The perpetrator fled on foot. The Santa Barbara Police are on the scene investigating now.

Jun 05, 2023 12:46 PMSacjon - an anonymous poster made the claim that one of the Shalhoob family beat up the man while he was trying to serve a subpoena. Sounds like a disgruntled former worker - we shall see, I haven't heard any news that anyone on the Shalhoob team was arrested.

Jun 06, 2023 10:20 AMOr wait, maybe my bad.....? An anonymous poster said the owner attacked the man who was "trying to serve a subpoena." GT has been saying "where's the proof?" Also, "maybe it was a former employee" that posted that comment. OK, so what? Maybe it was. Either way, the REAL problem here is, was that comment about the attacker and victim true? If not, folks should be careful what theories they spread, especially when identifying the subject.

Here is a story about a person who has been in and out of some sort of lock up most of his life. The guy was arrested 48 hours before for attempted burglary and was already back on the street doing an armed robbery. A simple look at the rap sheet shows that within weeks if not days of release from prison, he re-offends but for some reason the State of CA keeps letting criminals go on their own recognizance... which is a joke

Also..... "triggered" is screaming and crying about being "banned" and "censored" while your comment remains posted with no penalty whatsoever. Seems kinda snowflake-y and trigger-y to me.....
