funny but also those bikes are heavier and faster than regular bikes, and they are unregulated. They need to be considered a motor vehicle and have some kind of rules. Young people are riding them irresponsibly but they are not like traditional bicycles; more like mopeds. Many times I have seen troops of ebike riders completely ignoring pedestrians and even laws governing bicycle use.
"And how many people did you terrorize on your e-bike today?" Might be a better caption.
Everyone's a critic.
It’s timely. But it’s not just kids riding these. Bikes are great, but riders aren’t always. There are plenty of adults and kids freestyle riding them everywhere without thinking too much about others, rules of the road, etc. Hey, maybe we just let it take it’s course - someone may get run over. And there are plenty of walkers, bicycles, and car drivers who also freestyle it without thinking about rules.
Better to be knocked down by a bike than hit by a car!
Love the hair covering the kid’s eyes. Saw five teens on one bike yesterday — amazing even if unsafe. We never dreamed of five in my day, two was impressive enough.
Cute...she looks happy....
And that is why I do not walk on State St. Not just dangerous bike riders whether be electric or not, but skateboarders as well. I walk on the sidewalks of State St. Even when I am walking across State St., I have nearly been whacked by these yoyos. They just don't care. Kids or adults.
Require a passing a course to teach rules & licensing these things as if they were motorcycles. Many adult motorists don't have a clue. Require taking the written driving test every 3 years or so and the driving test more than once or twice in a lifetime. Transportation possibilities have changed greatly this century and will continue to.
