Santa Barbara City firefighters extinguished a small vegetation fire on Walnut next to the Anapamu footbridge.
RR traffic shut down temporarily
Fire is under control
...and yet another fire, brought to you by our homeless vagrants by the tracks.
CHP requested for traffic control
But hey, it's good "training" for our firefighters? Itll be real interesting to see how much of this mess Randy can undo.
Mayor Elect Randy Rowse has only one vote. Takes a majority of four to pass new action resolutions. Which other three council members support cleaning up this health and safety issue threatening this city to make a new city council majority? Who supports the current unhealthy and unsafe status quo keep delaying action on this issue? Who wants an immediate action plan now? I can count only one possible vote in support of Mayor Rowse. What would motivate three of the other five other council members to finally actively work on this issue, instead of kicking this can down the road again. Plus pending even more money that has proven repeatedly to only grow the problem. Which city council members will stare Homeless Inc down and say we are done doing it your way. You are now doing it our way. No more revolving doors that demand endless funding. Measurable and immediate success is the only criteria. We cannot turn any more of this city over to vagrants and be known as an easy touch dumping grounds. That reputation ends now.
