Now that Habitat for Humanity ReStore has closed, where can I donate home items like windows and doors?

Seconding all those who say post to Craigslist free section. It's great and you will make a thrifty or enterprising person's day.

I stick things on the curb and list them on Craigslist as FREE. Sometimes before I can get the next item photographed and posted the first one is gone. It is a very efficient method of recycling.

I gave up on ReStore when they declined my donation of pristine venetian blinds (I know, size matters). Neighborhood or Craig's list are good to re-cycle construction-type home stuff for free or cheap.

Are you signed up for Nextdoor, the neighborhood website? If not, you can sign up and post things you're selling or giving away. We've given away things for free and bought other things inexpensively. Start at https://nextdoor.com

Good luck with that.... I loved that ReStore..... I stopped donating to most of the thrift stores, after I tried donating some nice items, and saw that they throw a lot of good stuff into the dumpster. Very very disappointed after seeing that. Oh, and they put signs on the dumpster, that if they catch anyone removing items from that dumpster, they WILL be arrested !!!! I do see a lot of people posting good items on the FREE section of Craigslist.org ....
