Nobody cares about these homeless camp fires. Our city council has their heads in the sand

If nobody cares about homeless fires, why do we keep putting them out?

I guess I should quit reporting them then...It only brings the tourist industry down when crimes are reported in Santa Barbara better to be in denial and cash in....I'm expecting we will have a rash of violent crimes too soon gun sales are up oh well...

A few years back maybe more like a dozen years ago there was an underground camp site found in this area a huge room had been constructed it was a cool looking pad. There might be quite a few places around town like that now. I think the cities Homeless count is Fake News there are many more homeless people on our streets than they list and there will be many more sooner than later.

Every time I get on the freeway I am alarmed by the rapid expansion of these drug camps. Sooner or later one of these fires will break out during a strong wind and do some real damage. We could take the addicts into custody and provide them with treatment, clean out all the camps, and beautify the landscape. Unfortunately, not enough people have the interest or will to do that. It is going to get worse before it gets better. Santa Barbara and the state of California generally have a long ways to go before we hit rock bottom and finally start to turn things around. In the meantime, make sure your fire insurance is up to date!
