The vehicle was recovered in the 200 block of Placer. No suspects in custody. Vehicle license was expired andthe R/O 'not-on-file,' checked by VIN, it came back to an auction house in Riverside county. Sheriff's had a crime tech go over the car for two hours, presumably collecting prints and whatever else might ID suspects. The vehicle was impounded finally on an evidence tow.
This all suggests that the threats made to witnesses escalated the crime to a felony, robbery.

Ray of hope; if the Sheriffs get one good print or otherwise connect the vehicle with 'the usual suspects,' arrests could be in the offing. Given where the car was dumped, there is a short list of suspects.

There seem to be more and more vehicle robberies since the law changed making it not a felony under $1000--this is outrageous and encouraging this kind of gang crime--we have had break-ins to cars in Condo villages as well. They come early in morning-- Gang activity--test to pass?
Gonna keep a skunk in my car?

They are also letting anyone that they catch out bail free. Crime will continue to increase as long as the criminals are not in jail.
