I also agree that the Milpas roundabout is a total hazard as well. If I can’t avoid it, I find myself crossing my fingers until I’m out of it.
However, in regards to the CVR/Hot Springs Rd. roundabout, I go through it almost daily. What I’ve discovered is that a lot of drivers don’t understand how to navigate a roundabout.
Too many people in a hurry I think, I don’t understand the right of way rule.

I agree with REX of SB - That's another bad round-a-bout, especially for pedestrians. And, the visibility is horrible. That entire area is horrible. They should have NEVER removed the southbound fwy on ramp . I always thought they would put it back, considering what a disaster it's caused.

I think the roundabout is perfectly fine but I agree that the removal of the SB freeway ramp there was SO stupid. I still instinctively navigate to it sometimes, only to realize I'm an idiot and they took it out years ago. It's really needed and not having it only contributes to the congestion in the area.

The most confusing, horrible roundabout of all time is that mess at the confluence of Hot Springs Road, CVR, Old Coast Highway, and E. Cabrillo Boulevard. I'm honestly surprised no one's been killed there. From the terrible traffic layout to the hard-to-see signage, this roundabout is a total disaster.

I avoid that northbound Milpas exit.... can't see anything to the left..... Surprised they don't have more accidents there. But, hitting a pedestrian ????? On a side note, when they first installed that round-a-bout, they put the wrong plants, which blocked the view when I was driver a car that was low to the ground, so I became pro-active, and trimmed them all down. If I had complained to the City, it would have taken forever to get them trimmed down. And, does anyone remember, when they first got it going, and KTYD morning show, with Matt McCallister, sent "Hayseed" out there and had him stay in the round-a-about , and kept driving in circles for an hour or longer !!!! trapped in the round-a-bout !!!!!!! Too funny!
