Sheriff's Patrol Deputy Tests Positive for COVID-19

A patrol deputy assigned to South County Patrol has tested positive for COVID-19. The deputy last worked patrol in the unincorporated area of Santa Barbara on Saturday, July 4, 2020. The deputy began experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms while at home on Sunday, July 5, 2020 and was tested and confirmed COVID-19 positive that same day. The deputy is currently isolating and recovering at home.

Sheriff's Patrol Deputy Tests Positive for COVID-19

The county claims to be worried about the uptick in cases and continues to tout contact tracing, yet residents who have symptoms or who have been in close contact with those that have tested positive, take a week to get their results.
