All I know is that our water service was restored last night at about 11pm. Lots of dirty water had to be flushed from our water faucets. There has been no information anywhere except what has been posted on EDHAT. The flood down Valerio was extensive going over curbs and sidewalks. All we can look forward to is some rain to wash down the dirt.

Has it been determined whether this was a fresh water spillage or a sewer spillage? This was HUGE - we're talking 1000s of gallons - so it would be nice to know whether the entire Valerio Canyon was polluted...

When the call went out it was said to be either a water mail break or sewage break engine 6 fire fighters thought it to be sewage all I heard besides 638 Public Works responded with Engine 6...Another Citizen news source said it was a sewage spill.

City Crews are still working on this break. The water has been shut off in this area since noon and remains so now at 7pm. No estimate for water coming back on has been issued to the neighborhood.

I heard this was a big stinky mess earlier...I don't know if it's taken care of or still a problem.
