Apr 02, 2020 11:31 AMInexcusable. But I’d bet that this guy grew up in a home where that sort of thing happened. He may have been beaten, too. This kind of behavior is usually modeled in childhood, learned, and becomes “normalized,” and a response to frustration and poor self image. I hope that he can 1. Be incarcerated so he realizes that society won’t tolerate that behavior and 2. Receive adequate counseling, treatment, education in prison so that he will be better able to manage his behavior on the other side. Unfortunately, prisons do not perform well in rehabilitating offenders, even tho we know they’ll be released back into society. It’s a perfect opportunity to help them (and protect US) thru education and treatment/counseling. No wonder there is such high recidivism in this country.

Apr 02, 2020 10:17 AMI don't think her testimony is necessary for the State to prosecute him. Seems like they have all of the evidence they need to proceed. I wonder if they can add statutory rape in there as a charge?

Apr 02, 2020 02:59 PM"allow" her to date a 21 year old? You've obviously never had a teenager in the house. Unless you chain em to the bed you can't stop em from doing stupid things.

Apr 01, 2020 04:44 PMWhat a chump. Perhaps he'll get "touched up" while inside even though it might be short due to the Covid-19 outbreak. If that's the case, the "street judicial system" may see to some sort of payback for roughing up his girlfriend.
