A new beauty and haircare store is opening in Merced this February at The Shoppes at Merced.

ULTA Beauty is set to open its first store in Merced on February 6, 2026, marking a new addition to the city’s retail landscape.

The national beauty retailer will open at 3176 R Street at The Shoppes at Merced. The City of Merced announced the opening date on its official Instagram page.

According to the ULTA website, a grand opening celebration is scheduled to take place from February 13 through February 15, 2026.

During the grand opening weekend, customers can enjoy 20% off qualifying in-store purchases, including luxury brands and fragrances, according ULTA Beauty’s website

The city has welcomed the new store, pointing to the positive economic impact it is expected to bring. 

ULTA Beauty operates more than 1,400 stores across the U.S. The retailer carries over 25,000 products across makeup, skincare, haircare, fragrance, and beauty accessories. Its product selection includes both luxury and affordable brands, offering customers a wide range of options in one location.

The Shoppers at Merced

The new ULTA Beauty store is part of The Shoppes at Merced, a best-in-class community retail center spanning approximately 85,892 square feet. The property is fully leased and anchored by nine national tenants.

Located at the northeast corner of West Olive Avenue and R Street, the center benefits from high visibility, with roughly 40,459 vehicles passing through the intersection daily. 

Originally built in 1969, the site has undergone a complete redevelopment and renovation between 2024 and 2025. 

The center offers extensive frontage along both R Street and West Olive Avenue, along with ample on-site parking and multiple access points for convenient entry and exit.
