One of the world’s most well-known and influential music festivals is gearing up to return to California this April.
Coachella 2026 brings a star-studded lineup, diverse food offerings, and a continuation of its signature blend of vibrant music and culture.
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will return to the Empire Polo Club in Indio over two weekends, April 10-12 and April 17-19, 2026.
In its 25th edition, the celebrated music festival boasts an impressive artist lineup, with popular artists Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, and Karol G headlining the performances, along with several emerging artists.

Tickets and passes for Coachella are available at various tiers and are priced accordingly.
The general admission passes allow entrance to the event venue on all three days, while the VIP pass allows entry to the venue as well as the VIP zones all weekend.
VIP pass holders can also visit the general admission camping areas. VIP ticket holders also enjoy access to an exclusive area adjacent to the main stage, with additional amenities such as specialty food and drink vendors, air-conditioned restrooms, shaded seating areas, and no-host bars.

Since Coachella is one of the most sought-after music festivals, securing tickets early is important. Passes for this year’s event sold out in September 2025, Coachella announced in an Instagram post, underscoring its massive demand and appeal.
However, resale options are available at the event’s website.
For those unable to attend the event in person, the festival will livestream all performances on YouTube.
Diverse Food Options
Beyond music and performances, Coachella has built a name for developing its food and beverage program as another key attraction of the festival. The festival offers a range of culinary options, including chef-driven items, street food, specialty cocktails, craft beer, and artisanal ice cream.
This year, the festival will offer a wide ranging food lineup, featuring diverse cuisines, some festival staples, and more curated dining options.

Global Popularity of Coachella
Since the festival first enthralled crowds in Southern California in 1999, Coachella has grown from a niche music gathering into a global musical phenomenon. The festival is not only known for its star-studded lineup and attendees, but also for its large-scale art installations, and fashion influences against a dramatic desert background.
The first Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival was held on October 9 and 10, 1999, at the same venue, according to the Grammy Awards.
Paul Tollett, the event’s founder, envisioned the event to feature a genre-diverse lineup along with immersive art installations.
While the spirit of Coachella may be similar to Lollapalooza and other festivals, what sets Coachella apart is its genre-spanning approach and a carefully curated experience that has redefined music festivals.
