Montecito Law Group is thrilled to announce the addition of Ruben Lopez to our estate planning team. With over 25 years of experience in law, finance, and real estate, Ruben brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for helping families secure their legacies.
At Montecito Law Group, we believe estate planning should be approachable, comprehensive, and tailored to each client’s needs. Our firm is dedicated to making the process seamless—helping families preserve their assets, avoid probate, and navigate complex legal matters with confidence. Ruben’s background in property tax law, financial strategy, and estate planning makes him a perfect fit for our mission of delivering top-tier legal services with a personal touch.
Ruben earned his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his M.B.A. from Arizona State University. His career spans years in financial consulting, followed by his role as an attorney with the Santa Barbara County Counsel’s Office, where he advised on property tax matters and civil litigation.
Beyond the office, Ruben enjoys boating, beach volleyball, and soaking up Santa Barbara’s scenic coastline with his wife, two daughters, and their mini Labradoodle. He is active in the community, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and serving as Treasurer of the Santa Barbara Barristers.
Stefanie Herrington, Founder of Montecito Law Group, shared: “Estate planning is all about trust and relationships. Ruben’s depth of experience, combined with his warm and approachable nature, aligns perfectly with our client-centered philosophy.”
