The California Legislative Central Coast Caucus Foundation (CLCCCF) is thrilled to announce the inaugural Central Coast Impact Scholarship recipients. This initiative has succeeded in its mission to support the educational aspirations of twenty students from the five counties of the California Central Coast: Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura.

“I am incredibly excited to announce the Central Coast Impact Scholarship awardees,” said Assemblymember Dawn Addis (D-Morro Bay), Chair of the Central Coast Caucus. “These students have shown remarkable dedication to their education and their communities. They will significantly contribute to the Central Coast and beyond our region. Supporting their academic journeys is an investment in their futures and the future of our entire region.”

”As Vice-Chair of the Central Coast Caucus, I am excited to announce the first-ever Central Coast Impact Scholarship recipients,” said Senator Monique Limón. “As the inaugural class of recipients, these students have set the bar high for future applicants, and will undoubtedly continue to make the central coast and state proud. I look forward to seeing where their academic journeys take them. Congratulations to all of this year’s recipients.”

Among this year’s recipients is Gina Guzman, a dedicated CNA who found her passion in geriatrics. Her volunteer work at ROTAcare, assisting underserved populations in Monterey County, inspired her to pursue a career in nursing. Despite educational setbacks, Gina is now thriving in her nursing studies at Cabrillo College.

Joining her is Arroyo Grande High School graduate, Rosalva Farias, who overcame the challenges of the foster care system to excel academically. Active in Future Farmers of America (FFA) and passionate about Science and Math, Rosalva plans to pursue a career in viticulture and business at Sonoma State University. Both Gina and Rosalva exemplify dedication, resilience, and a commitment to their communities.

As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, charitable, non-profit organization, the CLCCCF is committed to fostering education on issues significant to Central Coast communities. In line with this mission, the newly introduced Central Coast Impact Scholarship program offers financial assistance to students.
