It even happens here in peaceful Santa Barbara. When thieves trying to steal start shooting at you and seconds matter, the cops are only minutes away. It's up to you to protect yourself and your family.

At least you can still "attend" the MIlpas Holiday Parade 12/09/2023 starting at 5:30 pm.... https://sbeastside.org/holiday-parade/ almost the same (but not quite)

I think it's a few thousand dollars a year. Like maybe $4800 according to Transparent California. Nothing compared to the supes' day jobs.

Way to go Costco!!! Not only just about the best Pumpkin Pies (yeah you can by a flatbed of pies if you needed!), nice $ polices as well. (a "gift/shop card" will also get you in the door...)

Dalgorf - a parade isn't really a government function, at least it shouldn't be. A parade is made up of private organizations, not a government affair. The City only grants permits for entrants in the parade. To deny a group because they have religious symbols would be counter to the 1st Amendment. I'm pretty sure I've seen plenty of religious and cultural symbols in parades. They shouldn't be barred from the parade simply for being religious.
