Two separate crashes on opposite sides of Highway 17 are causing major delays Wednesday afternoon south of the Glenwood Cutoff, according to CHP Santa Cruz.

The incidents were reported at 1:28 p.m. on March 5, and one lane is blocked in both northbound and southbound directions.

Authorities warned motorists to expect heavy delays and did not provide an estimated time for when all lanes will reopen.

Drivers are urged to slow down, use caution in the area, and consider alternate routes until the scene is cleared.
