A 49-year-old Santa Cruz man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing into the Pleasure Point store, the California Highway Patrol’s Santa Cruz office said in a social media post on Feb. 11.
“Never a good idea to drink and drive! A 49-year-old driver from Santa Cruz crashed into the Pleasure Point store and was arrested for DUI. Let’s keep our roads safe. Make responsible choices!” the agency wrote on X.
Additional details about the crash, including possible injuries and the extent of damage, were not immediately available.
On the same day, CHP also stated that a solo vehicle crashed on Highway 152 in Santa Cruz County during rainy conditions.
