On August 29, the Bay Area Craft Beer Festival is coming back to California as part of Martinez’s Sesquicentennial festival.

It will be held at Martinez Park at 245 North Court Street, Martinez, CA.

The Bay Area Craft Beer Festival features beloved breweries from across Northern California.

The celebration is set to feature 20+ craft breweries and 100+ brews to sample alongside food trucks and live music.

A variety of vendors and activities will also be found throughout the park.

Some of the breweries attending this year include Canyon Lakes Brewery, Epidemic Ales, Five Suns Brewing, Stone Brewing, and Alameda Brewing, among others.

Unlike previous years, attendees will get to overlook the waterfront views of Martinez Park.

This year will be the first that the craft beer festival is joining Martinez’s Sesquicentennial Festival, a festival honoring the city’s 150th anniversary.

“More to explore. More energy. Same great beer festival. One day. Two experiences. One unforgettable celebration,” an announcement on downtown Martinez’s website reads.

The event is set to occur whether it’s rain or shine.

Folks of all ages can attend Martinez’s sesquicentennial festival.

But only guests aged 21+ can enter the craft beer festival experience. Upon buying a ticket for the experience, guests will have unlimited access to tasting craft beer.

The Bay Area Craft Beer Festival came to California in 2010.

The event, held by Main Street Martinez, typically attracts around 3,000 attendees each year.

The annual festival began to highlight the craft beer in Martinez and nearby cities to make locals aware of the diverse breweries and what they offer.

Throughout the years, many breweries have made a bigger name for themselves by attending the celebration.

Additionally, all proceeds from the festival go directly towards Downtown Martinez.

The funds support hosting more community events and projects throughout the city, alongside supporting businesses and programs that keep the city’s economy thriving.
