    Come join a celebration of Chumash culture and participate in an event that shares the diversity of the Chumash tribes, the rich ongoing traditions of the indigenous peoples of this region, and the cultural preservation efforts of the Chumash communities for future generations.

    Adult Swim at the Sea Center

    Enjoy the Sea Center’s unique hands-on exhibits after the kids have all gone home!

    Bring your friends or a date to get your hands wet touching friendly Swell Sharks, anemones, and sea stars. Go upstairs to be mesmerized by our Moon Jellies, Two-Spot Octopus, and Mantis Shrimp.

    Meet Dr. Andrea Medina as she demonstrates how Mayan language is written with glyphs. The Maya developed a syllabic and a logograph writing system.
