PuppetPalooza Central - Museum and Theatre is celebrating their opening with a fundraiser extravaganza on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 4 to 7 pm at their new location at 301 Paseo Nuevo to launch the official puppet festival season. In addition to showcasing the various entertainment and special events fans can expect to see at PuppetPalooza in March, this launch party will honor Santa Barbara’s beloved anchorman John Palminteri and the whole KEYT News Channel 3 team for going above and beyond with their coverage of the Thomas Fire and aftermath in Santa Barbara County.

JLSB will honor the founding donors, who’ve given generously to support the opening of S.A.F.E. House (Saving At-risk youth From Exploitation House), a 6-bed, residential shelter in Santa Barbara County for girls who have been victims of sexual exploitation and sex trafficking. The League looks to build upon this tremendous momentum with opportunities to give at the event. All funds raised at the holiday party will support S.A.F.E.

Starring Gaspar Henaine, Capulina Chisme Caliente tells the story of Capulina, a telephone company employee, who eavesdrops on conversations. Due to his gossiping ways, he becomes an informant for a local journalist and gets involved with a newspaper. Unfortunately for him, several of the paper’s blackmailing rivals begin to look for the source of information. Capulina assists with handling the rivals and wins the love of the publisher’s beautiful daughter.
