SBCC International Business Among First to be Recognized for Advancing Student Social Mobility & Economic Outcomes
SBCC students increase earnings after participating in International Business and Trade program
Santa Barbara, Calif., July 31, 2017 – Santa Barbara City College’s International Business program earned Strong Workforce Stars recognition in the Global Trade and Logistics sector for its International Business program because students who participated in the program boosted their earnings by an average of 55 percent.

They’ll also find information on utility incentives ranging from $1,000 to more than $6,500.

Coastal Housing Partnership is hosting a Home Buying Fair designed to help local employees on their path to home ownership. Whether you are ready to buy a home, getting back into the market, or simply dreaming of owning a home, this event is for you! This is the first Home Buying Fair to be held in Goleta and is scheduled from 5-8 p.m., offering a convenient way for employees throughout Santa Barbara and Goleta to learn about the home buying process.
Leading From Within was honored as a Nonprofit of the Year at a celebration of California Nonprofits Day at the State Capitol in Sacramento.
This courses focuses on the assessment of an individual’s strengths, interests, values, personality and abilities in the context of career and education planning. It will include results from taking the Myers Briggs and Strong Interest Inventory. Students will improve decision making skills by exploring their own decision-making styles and applying specific decision-making models to their career planning process.
Students may elect to take this course independent of a Career Skills Institute digital badge or apply it to the Career Strategist Badge.
This class is designed to help students develop and implement a strategic job search plan. You will learn about sources of occupational information and how to utilize this information in the career planning and job search process. Students will learn how to create an effective resume and to interview for success.
