OPERA SANTA BARBARA IS BACK FOR A LIVE DRIVE-IN OPERA OF DON PASQUALE
Opera Santa Barbara is excited to return to live productions with Don Pasquale, A Live Drive-In Opera, as the season opener for Concerts In Your Car at the Ventura County Fairgrounds. The only performance will be Saturday, April 10, at 7:30PM. This production marks the company’s second live stage performance after the successful live drive-in opera for Carmen in December. Come prepared to laugh, sing along, and keep that toe-tapping foot away from the gas pedal!

Staying Home for Christmas is our impromptu online musical celebration of the holidays and salute to the resiliency of the performing arts during this past year, presented collaboratively by Opera Santa Barbara and the Lobero Theater.
Carmen, A Live Drive-In Opera
We're finally making it happen! Live opera is back Sunday, December 6 as part of the Concerts in Your Car series at the Ventura Fairgrounds. Just 30 minutes south of Santa Barbara and 45 minutes north of the Los Angeles area, come meet us where "Drive-In meets Live Entertainment"!

Enjoy an afternoon of free opera at Elings Park this Saturday, October 17 at 2:30-3:30PM. Featuring two of our upcoming season’s Chrisman Studio Artists, tenor Matt Greenblatt and soprano, Brooklyn Snow singing opera and musical theatre favorites.
Listen to some fantastic music while taking in gorgeous oceans views from Elings Park in the Wells Fargo Amphitheater at Godric Grove.

Opera SB Balcony Concert on State Street
We are pleased to be present a Balcony Concert on State Street, our first live performance since Il Postino in March. Opera SB chorus members Adrien Roberts and Jessica Gonzalez Rodriguez will perform a happy hour program of favorite arias, musical theater songs, and jazz standards on the second floor patio of the Arts and Culture Building on the corner of State and Sola, on Friday, June 26, at 5PM.

In a pilot program to make opera more accessible to North County residents, Opera SB will be offering free bus transportation for residents to the Sunday Matinee performance of its first opera sung in Spanish, Mexican-American composer Daniel Catán’s Il Postino (The Postman) on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 2:30pm at the Lobero Theatre, 33 E Canon Perdido St.

Just days before its season opener, Opera SB is having its first Free Open Rehearsal to the public for Madama Butterfly at the Santa Barbara Courthouse's Sunken Gardens. This event is FREE and open to the SB community.
Featuring the OSB Orchestra, the singers of Madama Butterfly, and the artistic team of Opera SB, this open rehearsal gives you insight to how it all comes together before the big show.
Bring down the family, come in costume (for a chance at free tickets!), and meet the people behind the magic.
SB Youth Opera Presents "Odyssey"
